What motive would a total stranger have for killing 2 little boys and their mother? What are the chances of her 2 little boys being brutally stabbed and her not even waking up until one of them spoke to her? I have heard no evidence that she was sedated or drugged at the time of the murders. Evidence will always speak louder than words. Although I do dismiss that "Silly String' video, what about all the other factors that don't fit Darlie's puzzle of innocence? If she truly is an Christian, and she claims she is, she knows that SHE WILL be judged guilty or innocent by God, who I believe has better judgement than the Texas juditial system. If she's guilty, she should pay, if she's not, she should be set free. The thing is, only God and Darlie know the truth. Evidence supports guilt, a jury decided her fate so that should have been sufficient evidence to convict her. What other evidence does she have to "prove" her innocence accept some bruises on her arm? Those could have come from her children fighting her for their lives. That is a very real possibility. Did she become a murderer overnight? We are all guilty of not being Perfect at sometime in our lives. They tried her in the "BIBLE TOWN" . I am a Texan who lived pretty much the same way at that age, she earned all she spent and did with hard work and determination. Putting her down for enjoying the fruit of her hard labor is just another mistake of our SO CALLED SYSTEM!!!!!!!! The nurses lied, the cops were not true to themselves or to the investigation, even so called friends misconstrued comments and made her appear guilty. At the very least, she should have a new trail. If they are SOOOOO convinced she is guilty then what are they afraid of?? Come on Rowlett PD, you did your job and got the killer , right? Then push for a retrial so once and for all you can prove you did the investiagtoin right? I didn't remember this case until tonight. I have recalled it to memory since watching this program. I guess it is true that people block horrible things from their minds...I suppose this is what I done with your story. You see I have wanted childern of my own for so long and have yet to be blessed with any. I guess that God doesn't think that I am ready for that phase in life yet. At the age of 27 I watch all of the things on tv today about the abuse and the neglect of children and it breaks my heart. I don't understand how God could allow this to happen to innocent children. I know it is wrong to question his reasons, because there is always a reason behind everything....but I can't help it. I guess what I am really tring to say here is that I have read your site...I watched your show and I honestly don't see how any woman could hurt, much less kill her own children. I believe in my heart that you love your kids and that you would have died for them and that you almost did. I saw the bruises on you...the hurt that you showed. Bruises like that are from struggle, and they aren't self inflicted. They are caused by someone that is out of control..some one that cares nothing about human life and someone who does whatever it takes to get away. You were attacked...in your home and then in your heart. You continue to be attacked and hurt everyday and I feel so sad for you. As for the silly string birthday...I can't say that I blame people for looking at this strangely...but who are they to judge how you handle your own grief? People handle things in different ways. When my grandfather died I went out to have fun...not because I was glad that he was dead, but because that is the only way I could deal with it at the time. Some people think that I was selfish in that..and maybe I was, but as I said people handle grief in many different ways. I saw the birthday celebration and the only thing that I could think of was that your little boys were smilin' down on you. I seen the smile on your face and the look in your eyes, but I saw beyond that to what I believe was you dealing and trying to let go the best way that you could. Sometimes after tragedy it is said that people act as if nothing has happened....because if you dont let it show..it can't be real. That is what I saw with your birthday celebration. I do not believe that Darlie could have bruised herself nor injured herself in the manner that the pictures indicate. I true foresic study needs to be done on this case, a profiler etc. I have always been very good and solving cases and knowing guilt of innocence and this case reeks of wrongness. The crime scene was contaminated, the video that the jury looked at over and over was inflammatory. I have two children who I love more than anything and had my child been killed right before their birthday I too would have honored them with a celebration. They had some back woods podunk town convict her before the trial ever took place. I believe if there hadn't been a change of venue that the trial would have gone differently. This needs to go beyond Texas, the supreme court needs to step-in Texas has it;s own judge and jury through the media and that is wrong. What about the police using surveillance why isn't that enough for a new trial??? It would be any of the other 49 states. I feel that from the start the Prosecution was looking for publicity (i.e. Susan Smith Trial). After all of the descrepincies from the onset, at the very least there should of been a "mis-trial". I never saw one piece of evidence conecting Darlie to the murders, only the lack of investigating the crime scence. I hope one day there will be justice for Darlie and her family. I just read a book called "hush little babies", expecting to see some big "revelation" or something....well, honestly, while I do wonder what really happened that night, and some questions kind of nag at me...after reading that book, then reading the new evidence since that date....well, I"m just not 100% sure that Darlie committed this crime. If I had been on that jury, given the evidence they had theres no way I could have come back with a 100% certainty that she was guilty....the evidence was just not there... I dont understand how those people could convict her and then give such a severe sentence with the evidence they had....the behavior of the prosecution and lack of "defense" in the defense was just preposterous. I definitely feel that she did not get a fair trial. I feel it was more of a character assination than a murder evidence....theres not one thing that can persuade me BEYOND A SHADOW OF A DOUBT...that she DID this crime....isn't that the way its SUPPOSED TO work? Jesus, the evidence was just not enough to do that....I certainly feel she deserves a new trial and definitely feel she does not deserve a death sentence... RIDICULOUS. I at one time believed otherwise however ; I lived in Texas at the time of your son's murders, and OF COURSE saw the " silly string" incident. I don't know for sure what happened, but in my opinion...Whether it was Darlie that killed her children or not (hopefully not!) it wasn't just the everyday break in burgular. The person that was in the house that night was there for specific reasons. No burgular is comfortable enough in the house and the situation to go to the kitchen sink and rinse blood down the sink (which is what the police found just in case someone didn't know). For Darlie's sake, I hope this gets worked out as quick as possible so that if Darlie is released she can get back to her other son as soon as possible. These cases of wrongful conviction are far too prevalent in the judicial system for any member of society to feel that they are immune from this fate. I believe she is innocent and always will, no matter what other people think. This is a young woman that was wrongly convicted, because the police did not want to look for the real killers of her boys. I don't think she should have ever been convicted. It used to be that you were innocent until proven guilty, but not anymore. Now you are guilty 'till proven innocent. All I want to say to my friend is 'Hang in there, sweetie, you will be set free.'
