Voices From Forgotten Victims

This page is dedicated to the family
and friends of the 5 victims who

were killed by Larry Keith Robison
on August 10, 1982.

The Robison family extends our most heartfelt sympathy to all those who suffered as a result of this very tragic incident. While we are painfully aware that nothing we do and nothing we say can take back the pain and sorrow you have endured, we want you to know and have wanted you all to know for a long time that we care about you and wish you peace and comfort from the Lord above. Having found no other available outlet to express to you our feelings of despair for your loss, we hope you will accept this gesture, given here in love and compassion to you.

Sincerely,
The Robison Family

To the family and friends of
Ricky Bryant, Earline Barker, Georgia & Scott Reed, and Bruce Gardner

Dear Ones,

I want to especially say that I am very sorry if the recent publicity about my case has opened any old wounds. It was not my intention to do so. Rather than cause you the slightest pain or discomfort I'd have gone without a fanfare if it had been in my control. But everything must bow before the Will of God. And the Will of God is I am called forward to testify to the truth. The truth is this:

I did a terrible thing by taking the lives of your loved ones. I cannot pretend to know the depths of grief and heartache it has caused you. To say I'm sorry seems so hollow. It will not bring them back. There has not been a day gone by that I haven't wished to offer my life in exchange for theirs. But alas, neither will that bring them back. Yet if my death will bring closure to the hurt I've caused you, and help the healing begin then I go gladly.

I wish I could tell you why things happened as they did but it is all still very much a mystery to me. Perhaps in the world to come everything will be revealed. All I know is that I was not in my right mind when I did it. I don't say this to excuse my actions, for I have never denied my own responsibility in them and have always been prepared to accept the consequences.

I have prayed to God to forgive me for I believe we are all God's children and when we sin against one another we ultimately sin against Him. And as God's nature is to be loving and merciful I also believe that just as those dear souls are now in His Loving Care, He has also forgiven me.

Now I would like to ask you, the family and friends of Ricky Bryant, Earline Barker, Georgia & Scott Reed, and Bruce Gardner, to forgive me as well. I ask this not for my sake but for yours. I ask that you find it in your hearts to emulate your Heavenly Father by forgiving me and I pray that He give you the peace that comes with that forgiveness.

If we only knew how much God loves us all we'd be dancing in the streets for joy. One day we will all know and see the Light of God. To hasten that day let unconditional love and understanding rule our hearts and minds. What pains and sufferings we had to endure on this earth will seem like nothing in the Ocean of His Love. When your earthly sojourns are finished I'll see you there.

In His Precious Love,

Always,
 Larry Keith Robison
